The Pacific Mini Games have been held every four years since 1981, and were established in the reflection of the main Pacific Games to allow smaller nations to host and compete against each other. From the 4^th to the 15^th December 2017, elite athletes from 24 Pacific nations will travel to Port Vila to compete in 13 sports including archery, athletics, beach volleyball, boxing, football, golf, judo, karate, netball, rugby, table tennis, tennis and weight lifting. Hosting the games for the 2^nd time, Vanuatu is pulling out all the stops, with the government investing significantly in the new outdoor stadium at Korman.
